Tru Form Tiny Featured in Architectural Digest's Future of Home
For a company that started with a simple belief that smaller homes could be thoughtfully designed, beautifully crafted, and built to last, being recognized by Architectural Digest is an honorable mention we don’t take lightly.
This June, Tru Form Tiny was featured in Architectural Digest’s Future of Home editorial series, placing our work alongside some of the most influential voices shaping architecture, design, and residential living today.
After more than a decade of designing and building custom tiny homes, park models, and small-footprint dwellings, this recognition represents something much larger than a media mention.
It reflects a growing national conversation about how people want to live—and the role thoughtful design plays in creating homes that are both beautiful and deeply functional.
Architectural Digest: Why It Matters
For anyone outside the design world, Architectural Digest may simply be known as a luxury home magazine.
Within the architecture and design industry, however, it is one of the most respected and influential publications in the world.
Founded in 1920, Architectural Digest has spent more than a century documenting exceptional architecture, groundbreaking interiors, and the designers who shape how we experience the built environment. The publication reaches millions of readers globally and serves as a benchmark for excellence across architecture, interior design, construction, and luxury real estate.
Architectural Digest has featured some of the most significant homes, architects, designers, and innovators of the last century. From iconic estates and celebrity residences to emerging architectural movements and future-focused housing concepts, the publication has long been regarded as one of the industry’s highest editorial authorities.
For builders, architects, and designers, being recognized by Architectural Digest isn’t simply about publicity.
It’s an acknowledgment that your work is contributing to a broader conversation about design, innovation, and the future of housing.
A Recognition Ten Years in the Making
When Tru Form Tiny opened its doors in Eugene, Oregon, in 2015, the tiny home industry looked very different than it does today. Many builders focused primarily on mobility and basic functionality. Few were approaching tiny homes through the lens of architecture, design, craftsmanship, and long-term livability.
From the beginning, our goal was different. We believed homeowners shouldn’t have to sacrifice quality simply because they chose a smaller footprint. We believed tiny homes could incorporate premium materials, thoughtful layouts, custom millwork, elevated finishes, and architectural details typically reserved for much larger residences.
Over the last decade, that philosophy has guided every project we’ve built. More than 400 homes later, the mission remains the same. Create homes that feel extraordinary regardless of size.
Being recognized by Architectural Digest validates years of dedication from our design team, craftspeople, project managers, and production staff who have worked tirelessly to push the boundaries of what a tiny home can be.
Why National Design Recognition Matters
The significance of this feature extends beyond Tru Form Tiny.Recognition from a publication like Architectural Digest helps elevate the broader perception of small-space housing and introduces new audiences to the possibilities of intentional design. For many readers, this may be their first exposure to a luxury tiny home builder.
It may challenge assumptions about what tiny living looks like. It may inspire future homeowners, developers, hospitality operators, or architects to think differently about how housing can be designed. National design publications influence trends, shape public perception, and often identify emerging movements before they become mainstream.
Being included in that conversation reinforces something we’ve believed for years: that thoughtfully designed small homes deserve a place alongside the most innovative housing solutions being developed today.
The Future of Home Is Already Taking Shape
The Future of Home feature examines how homeowners are redefining what they value most.
Flexibility. Sustainability. Functionality. Wellness. Craftsmanship.
These principles have guided our work since day one. Whether we’re designing a luxury park model, a custom tiny home, an accessory dwelling unit, or a hospitality-focused retreat, our goal is always the same: create spaces that improve the way people live. The future of housing is not necessarily bigger. It is more intentional. It is more efficient. It is more connected to the needs of modern life. And increasingly, it is being shaped by builders willing to challenge conventional assumptions about what a home should be.

Looking Ahead
Being featured in Architectural Digest is a proud moment for our entire team and an important milestone in our company’s journey. More importantly, it signals that the broader design community is paying attention to what is happening within the tiny home movement.
As housing needs continue to evolve, we believe small-footprint homes will play an increasingly important role in shaping the future of residential design. We’re honored that Architectural Digest recognized Tru Form Tiny as part of that conversation.
After ten years of building homes that prioritize craftsmanship, beauty, and intentional living, we’re excited to see where the next decade takes us. The future of home is being written right now. We’re grateful to be part of it.
